CTPM Australasia Pty Ltd takes the privacy of our participants very seriously and we comply with all legislative requirements, including the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles (2014).

In some cases, as required by law and in accordance with the NVR Standards, we may need to disclose your information to others. In all other cases, we ensure that we will seek the written permission of the participant before sharing their information.

The thirteen Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) are outlined below:

Principle 1 – Open and Transparent Management of Personal Information
CTPM Australasia Pty Ltd manages personal information in an open and transparent way to ensure compliance with privacy laws.

Principle 2 – Anonymity and Pseudonymity
Individuals may have the option of not identifying themselves or using a pseudonym when dealing with CTPM Australasia Pty Ltd, except where it is impractical or required by law.

Principle 3 – Collection of Solicited Personal Information
CTPM Australasia Pty Ltd only collects personal information that is reasonably necessary for business purposes.

Principle 4 – Dealing with Unsolicited Personal Information
If CTPM Australasia Pty Ltd receives unsolicited personal information, we will determine if it could have been lawfully collected. If not, we will destroy or de-identify the information if it is reasonable and lawful to do so.

Principle 5 – Notification of the Collection of Personal Information
CTPM Australasia Pty Ltd will inform clients, staff, and participants of any additional personal information collected and how it will be managed.

Principle 6 – Use or Disclosure of Personal Information
Personal information collected for a specific purpose will not be used or disclosed for another purpose without the individual’s consent unless required by law.

Principle 7 – Direct Marketing
CTPM Australasia Pty Ltd will not use or disclose personal information for direct marketing purposes without the individual’s consent.

Principle 8 – Cross-Border Disclosure of Personal Information
If CTPM Australasia Pty Ltd discloses personal information to an overseas recipient, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles.

Principle 9 – Adoption, Use, or Disclosure of Government-Related Identifiers
CTPM Australasia Pty Ltd will not adopt government-related identifiers, except when required by state regulators or the Department of Innovation for the Unique Participant Identifier (UPI).

Principle 10 – Quality of Personal Information
CTPM Australasia Pty Ltd will take reasonable steps to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and currency of the personal information it collects.

Principle 11 – Security of Personal Information
CTPM Australasia Pty Ltd will take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure.

Principle 12 – Access to Personal Information
Individuals have the right to request access to their personal information held by CTPM Australasia Pty Ltd. We will provide access unless legal exceptions apply.

Principle 13 – Correction of Personal Information
If personal information held by CTPM Australasia Pty Ltd is incorrect, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading, or if an individual requests a correction, we will take reasonable steps to correct the information.
